American Roulettes - American roulettes less popular than European
A few months ago Kiwi Online Casinos switched from what was their stylish, multiplayer roulette game from the American roulettes version to the more player-friendly European version, and the online casinos operator is finding that reaction has been anything but hostile from regular and new players.
"No game is requested more often now than the European wheel compared to the past requests for American roulettes," explained Kiwi Casino manager Paul Russell. "Casino patrons know that one less zero for the European version as opposed to the American roulettes style of play means a lower hold for the house."
Kiwi Online Casinos, operated by Christchurch Casinos in New Zealand, bills itself "one of the online casinos that offer you the reassurance of playing European and American roulettes on a site run by a reputable land-based casino company."
Most roulette aficionados know that the European wheel offers better odds than the American roulettes wheel. The difference is in the zeroes: The European style has the numbers 0 to 36, and carries a modest house edge of about 2.7%. The typical American roulettes game also has the numbers 0 to 36, plus a spot for 00 (double-zero). That extra zero doubles the house edge to nearly 5.4% and cuts your chances of winning in half.
